About the Foreword of the Urantia Book:

The Foreword section of the Urantia Book is unlike the conventional Foreword section of most literary works. It embraces what amounts to an expansive Glossary, a "definitive guide" to which to refer during one's study of the actual text. A common misconception is that, due to its scope, complexity and length, the Foreword is to be regarded as a "Paper" in its own right. The Foreword is not, however, a "finished statement within itself." One should neither expect nor strive to digest it in its entirety prior to proceeding to Paper #1.
